What Has and Will Be Done to the
Stadium?
PHASE I - Bleacher
and Press Box
Completed - Spring,
2006
Because of safety concerns with the
dilapidated wooden bleachers, the Whitefish Bay School District
removed and replaced them with aluminum bleachers. In order to
accommodate a full-size soccer field, all seating is on the east
side of the field, which was extended to accommodate fans for both
home and visiting teams.
PHASE II - Turf and Field
Spring, 2007 (Funds Still Need to be Raised)
The grass
field will be replaced with synthetic field turf for a more
consistent playing surface. The use of field turf will allow for
more activities to take place within the Stadium and require much
less maintenance to ready its use.
Track and
Field areas will be resurfaced.
PHASE III -
Facade, Fencing, Donor Recognition Monument
Labor Day Weekend
2007 (Funds Still Need to be Raised)
Ornamental
fencing will replace cyclone fencing around the stadium to increase
aesthetics and security.
A gated, arched entry into the Stadium at
the northwest corner of the field house will include a donor wall to
acknowledge the generous families and individuals that contributed
to the Stadium’s renovation.
The unveiling
of Phase III and the Close of the Fundraising Campaign will be at
Glory Days, 2007 - Labor Day Weekend.
